What happens when you meet a couple who wants to make a statement in the design of their wedding, plus want to give their guests a fantastic experience!? Magic happens, people!!! Savannah and Payton, long-time sweethearts, were married on what may have been the most perfect day in May at The (stunning) White Magnolia in Kentwood. Acres of the greenest grass that rolled into a serene pond, as the sun was starting to set, was one of the most picture perfect ceremony backdrops I have ever seen.

If ever April showers brought May flowers, it was evident on this day! Our friends of Doris Ione brought the most unbelievable blooms in the most bright and vivid colors. Our favorite part? The way the flowers made a statement – both outside and inside the gorgeous white barn reception space. In person, they were stunning, but as a planner I could not WAIT to see how they photographed. Lainey Reed is an amazing photographer (we had the honor of working with her twice in May!) and you know the color palette is good when every photo takes your breath away. Like there were literally no bad photos, at all, and I do not envy Savannah and Payton who have to decide which photos they will print for their home!

Our friends from Truly Haute brought the romantic ambience to another level with candelabras, gold lanterns and my personal favorite – PINK taper candles. YES!!! These pink tapers set in low gold holders surrounded the cake from the Cocoa Bean Bakery which sat on top of a white tree trunk table from Timeless Vintage Rentals. The groom had not one, but TWO grooms’ cakes (no complaints about this) each was beautifully displayed on authentic Whiskey Barrels. So unique, yet a perfect complement to the elegant and upscale white barn venue that was a great reflection of the couples’ style!

After the ceremony, photos were done outside for what was the most spectacular golden hour. The couple chose to not have a First Look and really take in “the moment” of the groom seeing his bride for the first time as she came down the aisle. What a special moment it was! So we built in plenty of time after the ceremony for bridal party and family photos, but we also allowed the couple some time together to capture photos, now as husband and wife. Every photo was sun kissed and romantic – their joy and love for one another is so evident in every image of the two of them together!

The reception included The Chase Tyler Band performing live, custom koozies, light up bracelets and sunglasses, and money guns. Yes, you know your party is next level when the bride and groom come out shooting gold money guns onto the dance floor. The Pixure Booth rocked, as they always do, providing a state of the art photo and social media booth for everyone to enjoy! The grand finale was a bright sparkler exit, complete with guests cheering as the couple ran through and stopped for a quick kiss and dip before leaving for the night.

Savannah and Payton, we wish you the absolute best as you start your new life together. May your home be filled with lots of joy, laughter and love!

XOXO,

Taylor
