Do you know that Weddings Taylor Made does much more than wedding planning?! In fact our largest package named “Southern Hospitality” includes the planning of two bookend events that will perfectly complete your wedding weekend extravaganza! Rehearsal Dinner, Welcome Reception, Crawfish Boil, Traditional Brunch – we are here for ALL of it!

Many couples planning a destination wedding select this package because we include things like “dream sessions” to come up with lots of ideas that will offer your guests the perfect taste of the South and keep each event a stand alone celebration, while ensuring there is cohesiveness that your guests will experience throughout. WTM firmly believes that at the end of the day each event should be reflective of the couple – especially in terms of their style and personality.

Today I want to share a Rehearsal Dinner with you that took place on the very last day of May. I just loved this couple, I loved the event and vendors involved and I loved their families, so as the pictures came back from the incredible Sandra of Eau Claire Photographics I smiled ear to ear as I relived the moments. I had the honor of planning  Gabrielle and Kirk’s beautiful June wedding (stay tuned for another post on that!) as well as working with the groom’s mother on their rehearsal dinner. Gabrielle was born and raised in the New Orleans area, while the groom’s family was coming in from the Pacific Northwest. With so many loved ones traveling, the groom’s family determined to host a dinner that included more than just the bridal party and was inclusive of those traveling a great distance to be a part of their wedding day.

Tomas Bistro, located in the charming Warehouse District of New Orleans, set the stage for a fabulous rehearsal dinner that was “Naturally N’Awlins”. Crab and Corn Beignets, Boudin Pecan Duck Balls, Lamb Chop Lollipops and Prosciutto Toast. Oh, those were just the hand passed hors d’oeuvres! My mouth is now watering! I know Tomas Bistro is known for great food and service and they surely would not disappoint, but so many guests (even the local ones) just raved about the food. It became a point of conversation throughout the entire weekend.

Fat Cat Flowers wowed us, as always, with COLOR! The groom loves orange and so his mother wanted to be sure that color was incorporated into the flowers – reds and yellows also added great pops of color and kept the event separate from the wedding color scheme, yet very personal still. Timeless Vintage Rentals created a custom Welcome Sign and Fat Cat Flowers added a great floral swag to tie in the flowers beyond just the table centerpieces.

Skits. Games. Toasts. This crowd sure knew how to laugh and have an amazing time! There are so many photos of the couple laughing, it is hard to choose a favorite! I look forward to sharing their wedding photos very soon!

XOXO –

Taylor
